It's been over a year since I last posted. In that time, I've been busy building a new career in the real world. It didn't seem like much of a career last March when I started my new job, but the possibilities turned out to be amazingly interesting. It keeps me incredibly busy and engaged, which is a minor miracle to me when it comes to jobs!
However, I am always drawn back to the world of Second Life to design more clothing. A long time friend and customer asked me if I was still designing. I was! I just hadn't followed through and released the items I'd had fun putting together in what time I could find after work or on weekends. I decided to change that.
Last week I did my first release in over a year. I have put together a selection of Edwardian skirts and shirtwaists. These are of course based on real items to a large extent. I'm offering them as separates so that you, the customer, can pick and choose as you like which outfit you'd like to wear. Each item comes with the appropriate undergarments. There are nine fitmesh skirts, and nine shirtwaists. I'll just preview some of them below. For the full list please check either Marketplace or Flickr. All are up on Marketplace or you can purchase them in Second Life at my store.
Now for my other little jaunt, mesh appliers. A customer asked me just after the new release if I had appliers for the shirtwaists. At that time I did not. I didn't even know what an applier was, so I went on a hunt to find out! Turns out it's just a different way of using the textures so that they can be applied to a mesh body. Mesh bodies being a growing trend in Second Life. I will be releasing Omega appliers for my Edwardian shirtwaists in the next day or so.
As for future items, they continually bubble up out of my folders, and I will release items as I can, when I can. If you all continue to buy said items, it will just encourage me to do more!
While I miss working on Curious Seamstress full time, I still relish the time I can spend on it. I hope you will enjoy these humble new offerings.
