New Fall Releases!

Greetings!

Yes, try not to gasp with shock, I have new releases!  Let's get right to it!  1920s first up this time!

Next up are the Victorian gowns.  One is an evening gown and the other is a day suit.

These two items are caplets for those chilly winter or spring days and evenings.

I hope you find something you'll enjoy with this offering!  They can be found in Second Life at my main store or the era appropriate store in the New Releases vendors.

Cordially yours,

Life and love

Greetings friends,

I have been out of commission for a while.  After an injury to my right shoulder in June, I spent months waiting to heal, only to be told that it would require surgery.  On August 28th I was wheeled into a surgical suite and a very skilled and kind doctor worked on my shoulder for nearly two hours.  I am slow to heal, though impatient I admit.  The doctor told me it will take much longer than I like for this to heal, several months in fact.  In the meantime, I am severely limited on time I can spend on the computer.  So my dear friends, that's what's up with Kembri Tomsen, and why her store has been quiet for the last few months.

I peeked back into this world today, only to find out about the sad news of Madison Seabreeze's passing.  If you know Miss Breezy Carver, then you may know of her beloved Madison.  I never met this little Princess personally, though I heard of her adventures and laughed and her barks when she was talking to her Mommy, and considered her a cousin to my own beloved Chow, Charlie.  I read Breezy's blog about Maddie's last journey and cried.  I like to believe that every human being has connected at some point to a beloved animal companion.  Maddie was truly Breezy's soul puppy.  She and I discussed some of Maddie's issues, and I felt helpless in the face of my dear friend's grief.  Like anyone we care about, there are times when nothing we say or do can really ease the saddness they are experiencing.  All I could do was offer her my love and a clean hanky.

But later I will remind her that Maddie isn't really gone.  That she's simply stepped over that shining rainbow bridge and is waiting on the other side for her Mommy.  She will be there, laughing smile and prancy pawed, jumping with joy, when Breezy finally joins her.  I never for one moment think we will not be with those we love in the next world.  And while I am so very sad for Breezy's grief right now, I hope that eventually she will come to a place where she can know in her own heart that Maddie still loves her, is still with her, and always will be.

Brightest Blessings, Madison Seabreeze, Child of Breezy, Star of the Morning, you will be missed by many.  I wish you safe journeys, and also, try not to keep your Mommy up too long at night playing in her dreams!

Returning from hiatus

Greetings!

It has been a very long time since I last posted.  My real life has taken a few twists and turns I did not expect, and in turn prevented me from doing things I had planned on.  What is that old saying?  The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry?  Well in this case, the best laid plans of this Curious Seamstress not only went awry, they went totally bonkers and left me gawking with surprise!

Because of a shoulder injury, I have been unable to do any design work until just recently.  I am still severely limited in what I can do, but there will be some new items out soon.  I will also be participating in Steam the Hunt 7 in September.

I have recently set up a vendor at the main store of Rosewood for child avatar clothing.  This is something I wanted to do last fall, but didn't have a chance to complete.  At this point, it is only a very tiny selection and only Victorian.

For those of you who inquired after me when I was gone, thank you!  For those of you who just wondered, well there you have it.  Real life got in the way of Second Life!

Take care, and see you soon!

Slowly she turned . . .

and then she blinked!  Where did March go?  Easter is almost here!

Hi folks!  Well the real life move is done, traumatic though it was!  I'm slowly unpacking and finding a new schedule and work habits.  I just do not have the time I once did because many things are changing in my real world, and a lack of time seems to be right on top of it all!  However, I am working on a couple of new releases.  I hope to have them out soon, I swear!

In the meantime I hope you're all enjoying some incredible spring weather!  Where I live, it's been a streak of unexpected 70s and a spring that is quite early.  About two months early.  So while I enjoy bright spring flowers and the greening of the world around me, I hope you're enjoying your spring too!

For a little Easter Bonnet treat, I'd like to introduce you to Doris Eaton Travis.  She was one of the original Ziegfeld Folly girls.  This incredible lady makes me smile every time I watch one of the Youtube pieces she's in.  I hope you'll enjoy this little bit of a video and perhaps find some others of hers to watch.

I'll see you soon!

cordially yours,
Kembri

AFK

Greetings,

it's been a while since I posted and I wanted to catch folks up a little bit with what is happening at Curious Seamstress.  In real life, I am in the middle of a move from one long time home to new place.  The days are hectic and I do not foresee it ending until March.  Because of that, there won't be any releases for the time being.  There are still many, many gowns available, both in Second Life at the stores in my picks, or on the Second Life Marketplace.  Curious Seamstress isn't leaving!

Once things have settled down a bit, regular releases will happen again,  Until then, I wish you all a very happy Valentine's day along with a thought.  We should show our love for those who matter to us every day of our lives, not just on one day designated by retailers as appropriate.

Just a thought.  I leave you with one of my favorite songs about love.

I wish you all well and hope to see you soon!

Cordially yours,
Kembri
